Our room was spacious (we did an upgrade from our original booking to a room facing the field rather than the road) and the beds were very comfortable. We were pleasedthat, by lowering the shutters, the room could be made very dark. With the exception of lacking a hot water kettle, the room was well appointed. There was coffee on offer all day in carafes in the lobby, even though the front desk is only staffed for part of the day. Breakfast was solid, featuring local specialties.
Set in a carefully renovated Art Nouveau villa, this guest house is a 5-minute drive from Lübben town center. It offers elegant accommodations with free Wi-Fi, attractive gardens and free parking.

The apartment is very modern and extremely clean. The kitchen has everything that is needed for cooking, and the owners have thought of lots of things like coffee, tea, children's toys, etc. Parking is in the courtyard outside so extremely practical and safe. We were met there on arrival and were handed over the key, but it's also possible to get the key from a safe at the entrance. There was also some emphasis on sustainability, for example encouraging guests to use less water, only a small piece of soap was provided (enough for the stay, but not so much that a lot is wasted), trash is separated, and so on.

We had a great time staying at this quaint guest house. We took the RE2 train from just outside of Berlin, and as other reviews mentioned, a taxi is necessary to get from the Lubbenau train station to the guest house. (It was 30 euro total for 3 of us, and about a 45 minute ride.) We arrived before a few hours before check-in, around 10 am, to the surprise of the staff, (I wanted to arrive early to make the most of the whole day). Even though our rooms weren't ready, we were able to store our luggage and the staff helped us get bikes to ride into the town. Note, only a couple of people on the staff speak English, and I don't think the locals see a lot of US tourists, but we appreciated the help we were given. We got the bikes for the whole day and later, the owner/manager assisted us with a canoe and also made us a dinner reservation. My favorite part of our stay was the incredible dinner!! It was an idyllic guesthouse, right on the water. I would highly recommend this place.

In the most incredible location…the village of Lehde in Spreewald…utter tranquility, clean, comfortable (!!) beds, pillows & room, such a nice staff, especially Maria at the reception desk! Excellent breakfast, nice that we could rent bicycles at the hotel. We loved it and hope to return.

A beautiful hotel located in a picturesque Spreewald village Lehde. Staff very helpful with booking taxis and hiring bikes. We stayed in a room located in a very beautiful traditional Spreewald house (the hotel consists of several houses). Very nice breakfast! We visited in the bleakness of November and it was very quiet, which we enjoyed but would be great to also visit in summer when the place is surely more bustling.
