Great place overall. Very nice location along the river below the park. The highlight was the warm and welcoming owner and the lovingly set up breakfast room. Excellent food and lots of nice choices. No detail was missed and it made for a special start to the day.

Amazing views over the river every day, quiet end of the village, many many hikes to do from the door step, apartment is well maintained and has been updated recently.
The common areas are very nice, the staff are helpful and efficient, an honour bar is available, and the breakfast is good.
The location is very good, if you want to relax, walk and keep fit (going up from the village is a real workout).
The rooms are relatively small and simple but are comfortable.
Location was perfect - right in the centre of the village and right at various trailheads. Good facilities - everything you'd need for a short hiking break. Comfy bed and sofa-bed. Public transport cards included (useful for the boat and S-Bahn)
Kurort Rathen and this hotel is a very nice place to relax and unwind. Cars can't drive into the village so it's very quiet around and you can enjoy the view from the balcony and listen to the sound of the Elbe water. The hotel has a very good wellness center with a small pool and various types of saunas.
And it is a paradise for those who love hiking.
