This guest house was on a working farm. Fresh cut flowers and other culinary treasures across the lane at the self serve farm stand. Our host was very nice and sent us locations of the local market and cafe. This was a last minute booking for us and would rather stay in a guest house then a hotel.

Room comfort is reasonable considering the price. I really loved the neighborhood. There were some really old trees and villa-type dwellings nearby. Also, the place is walking close to S-Bahn - S1.
I had a wonderful experience at Villa Viva Hamburg. The staff were exceptional, the friendliest I've encountered so far. When I expressed concerns about my assigned room due to claustrophobia, they immediately upgraded me without any hassle. It was truly amazing service.
The charming hotel near the Alster lake, university and city center offers big, comfortable rooms and bathrooms as well as an excellent breakfast. It covers several end 19th Century houses in the villa quarter close to the railway station Dammtor Bahnhof. It is not the first time I have stayed there and will not be the last time.
Maybe the best holiday house I've been at. Great location, extremely comfortable, cozy and with an attractive pop style inside. Next time I come to Hamburg, I have no doubt regarding the house I'll rent.
The Deutsches Haus is a great hotel. The location is very good, just outside Hamburg in a quiet village. Very good if you're traveling to Hamburg by car or van, but don't want to get stuck in the city with its parking issues. Safe free parking on the premises. The rooms are a good size, bathroom was a bit small, but functional. Breakfast was good! But best of all: the staff is super friendly! I highly recommend this hotel!
quiet areas in a small village outside the city with a super market 3 minutes away by car; free parking, ok staff, acceptable structure for the price we paid, large clean room with fresh smell of new paint (at least for the room we had, 2nd floor) recommend for those traveling in groups or with many people low cost a little outside the city (20 minutes from the city of Hamburg by car obviously)
The place is gorgeous inside and out. It backs to the Elbe River. The village it is in is beautiful. The bus comes there but we had a car. Parking is free. Breakfast is awesome.
