We really enjoyed neighborhood. Old buildings. Historical landmarks.
Be sure to visit Luisenhof, Dresden restaurant. Only 5-10 min walk from house. Amazing view. Walking down to river Elbe did not take long time. Lots of lots of stairs though.
Be sure to stay more than 1 night there.

The apartment was super clean - not a speck of dust anywhere.
The whole accommodation was very spacious and, as has been mentioned in other reviews, the photos really don't do it justice re space and facilities. It had everything you need for a long or short stay.
The large balcony was wonderful - very peaceful with loungers if you wanted to sunbathe.
The location is a bit out of town, but there's a path behind house that takes you to the area of Cotta where you can catch either a 1 or 12 tram, or 68 bus into the city centre. There is a bus stop 100 metres from the property, but it seems it only appears if you call ahead 20 minutes before, which we didn't know until we were waiting for the bus so a walk it was. The area is quite hilly, but the walk into Cotta from behind the property is much easier (it's basically flat until you reach the stairs) than walking through the neighbourhood.
Easy parking.
The host was on hand if needed, but not at all intrusive. Language was a barrier, but we had no problems, so no need to test that area ;-)

A nice spacious appartement in a park atmosphere. Nice and helpful staff. Good possibilities for parking directly in front of the appartment. There is also a good connection to the city center by public transportation. Tram stop directly in front of the villa. Otherwise a nice walk to the centre along the Elbe with beatiful panorama is also an option if 4km (1h) does not scare You :-).
Historic villa with garden and lawns and a fountain that has been beautifully renovated. Dog-friendly + parking. Amazing breakfast on the terrace. Best pillows, bed, and blanket I have ever slept on. The staff were friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The location was fine, near the river, and on the edge of an old village, now suburb of Dresden. It was quiet there, and quite relaxing. In the evening you could go down to the river where there is a nice pub, restaurant with a garden bar that is used by passing cyclists and serves good drinks, home-made lemonade, beer etc. The place had all the amenities that we required for a cosy one night's stay. I would stay there again.
