This family hotel provides everything one traveler needs. We arrived very late but the owners were expecting us. They were so kind and helpful. We travelеd with a colleague of mine and the hosts provided us free of charge а separate room for my colleague. Location, location, location. Having a medieval castle almost to yourself…?! Yes!! The apartment was great, but being able to have a picnic inside a castle was awesome. One of our favorite trips!

Confortable apartment and very nice customer service
Locates near by the tram station, around 8 mins walk. Rooms are new and clean, breakfast are also nice with fresh bread, hams and coffee. Quite suitable for business travel. There's no fridge in room and also no laundry area, should be fine for short term stay.
Hotel Waldfriede is an old characteristic villa, which is run with love, at short distance of the center of Darmstadt or Eberstadt because of the nearby (direct) Strassenbahns. The first time we stayed at hotel Waldfriede, we used a breakfast, which was very good. It is served in a beautiful, tastefully decorated, room by the friendly and good-spirited owner. Hotel Waldfriede is located in a quiet and stylish neighbourhood of Darmstadt(-Eberstadt). We wake up with birds singing in the garden surrounding the hotel.
Very nice and friendy host, the hotel is in an old, but beautiful villa with a super warm, welcoming atmosphere, it is not modern, but has a lot of old charme
The renovated historical villa in the forest near Darmstadt, the wonderful and accommodating lady running the breakfast service, a lovely breakfast every day, and the cleanliness of the room made it a perfect four-day stay at the Oberwaldhaus! We could even order dinner, although the restaurant was closed for a wedding celebration on our arrival.
