I had a small single bedroom with a bathroom across the hall. It was perfect for my needs, both charming and comfortable. The hotel is really lovely, in a fantastic location, with an ice-cream bar attached. Poschiavo is also lovely.

I really appreciated my stay at the Chasa Sassalbo were I have felt just like at home thanks to Karen's kindness & warm welcome. The room was very clean and lovely, I slept so well. After few days on the road, it was the perfect place to relax, explore and chill on the balcony with great views. I loved the charming feel of the place, a mix of Swiss-Italian atmosphere, architecture and decoration. It is perfectly located for great holidays, I could spend the afternoon on the lake's beach and had a swim, having a pizza in Italy, hiking the Swiss Alps, a day in famous Saint-Moritz and the Bernina Express train stop is just 5 minutes away. The value for the affordable price makes it a perfect relaxing place and central point from were to explore the stunning surroundings for a holiday or for fews days. I highly recommend. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. The hotel was within walking distance of the train station and the village centre. The room was large and neat. Since we stayed for two nights, we received a guest pass which could be used on public transport: very handy!
Great location in very picturesque village. Room was comfortable with antique bed and furniture. Guest card gives free train, bus and museum entrance. Really good bonus!

I felt like home away from home in Val Poschiavo from the get go. Aurelio and Ursula have an immaculate and comfortable place among the divine Palazzo gardens, exactly where we wanted to be. A short stroll from all the major attractions of the village, and for our visit to the fabulous Swiss alpine herbs festival. We enjoyed the large living space and bathroom, comfy bedroom and extra thanks for the coffee machine ;-)
We stayed in Historic hotel Albrici instead of Altavilla since their hot water heater was not working.
The staff greeted us was Mr. Lucio was very friendly and helpful, it was a very traditional building and clean facility

Very charming! Both the hotel and the dependence are beautifully-restored historic buildings in the center of the village. We stayed in the dependance, which is around the corner (next to the Hotel Suisse). The room was large and impeccably clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was and modern. There are common spaces on the second and third floor, which would come in handy for an extended stay (sort of like a lobby area). Breakfast was wonderful! We also had dinner in the hotel which was very good.

Superior hotel in everything, from the common sections of the villa to the delightful bungalows; from the garden to the restaurant; from graphics on the walls to cleaning. Impeccable staff. The legendary Rhätische Bahn stops right at the door and takes you upstream or downstream in an instant. Who could ask for more?
