So much spa e. Clean, comfortable and beautiful. Amazing views and an easy drive down to Spiez and into Interlaken. A great base for exploring the lakes and the mountains. I enjoyed my time with my 3 year old son. We can’t wait to return!

We liked everything about this place! From A to Z. Owners were so attentive - we had our names hand written at the plate next to the door with welcoming note, they left a local chocolate and chips with some drinks at the table. The kitchen had everything you can ask for and some seasonings too. The bedroom was nice and cozy, comfortable bed and bathroom super clean! Very nice design, private, close to shops, covered parking next to the apartment. I have just one word - absolutely amazing stay - sorry, it was 3 words. We cannot thank enough for such a pleasant stay!! Thank you Eveline and Mark for making us feel like at home 🤗

Clean, comfortable 2 bedroom apartment, slightly off the main road with a pretty view. Nicely equipped to prepare your own meals. Hot shower and comfortable bed. Covered parking spot. Definitely use the next door spa/swimming pool facilities. For Americans, yes, the spa section is textile free BUT you cover up (if you wish) with provided thin cotton towels. It was delightful and you should try it! Hotel provides towels. Walk about 5 mins to the Panorama suspension bridge (a small fee). It was sturdy for the feint hearted but beautiful views. Unfortunately the lake was socked in with clouds but still a beautiful part of the world.
The location is excellent, in the beautiful village of Aeschi, just a short journey from Interlaken. Our room was big and spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We also had a balcony, so had an amazing view of the alps and the surrounding areas. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared and just what we needed to start the day. Thanks to Theo and Beatrice for being so welcoming and helping us with planning our time in Aeschi.
The location of Hotel Sunnmatt is just amazing, a short car / bus ride from Spiez and the lake, but high enough up to enjoy alpine meadows with glimpses of the high mountains. The owners, Theo and his wife, are lovely. The hotel is simply furnished, breakfast is continental style, but perfectly adequate. Aeschi is a lovely little village with the basic amenities you need, supermarket, restaurant / bar, bakery, bank.
