The host was so kind that I felt at ease. Personally, Obertraun left a deeper impression on me and will remain in my memory longer than Hallstatt. It's such a leisurely village! Although this trip was short, I plan to come back in the fall for a longer vacation. There's a bike rental shop nearby, so exploring every corner of the village would be great!

I highly recommend you stay here! First of all, Mark and Jane are amazing! They were nice, informative, very generous in accommodating our requests and overall a cute and enjoyable couple. The house sports a beautiful view and the location is just close enough to walk to nearby restaurants or the lake, but far enough so you feel privacy.
The village itself has a nice lake front where you can have a nice picnic, walk around and feed the ducks(Mark"s idea actually).
10/10 would come again!
This charming cottage nestled into the village mountainside was absolutely wonderful!
The location was prime for a bike ride around the valley and convenient to surrounding transportation and sites.
The apartment is just a few minutes of walking from the train station and bus stop, as well as the market. The owner was very kind and the room was cozy, clean and for a fair price. The village Hallstatt is only 5 minutes far by bus.
Location was perfect. It was very close to train station(300m) and bus stop (50m), it can be reached in 7mins and 3mins by walk respectively. You can go to Hallstatt village by bus in 10 mins. Room temperature was good even though in winter time.
