Offering a casino and city view, Floating Experience - Casa flutuante a 25 min do Porto is set in Póvoa de Varzim, less than 1 km from Carvalhido Beach and a 13-minute walk from Salgueira Beach. We had a great stay and were very comfortable. Some highlights were: -There were thoughtful touches like bottled water and wine in the fridge as well as nice coffee pods. -The boat was much more spacious than I anticipated. -The rooftop deck was lovely to climb up on and drink wine at sunset. -It’s in a great location and was perfect for us walking the Camino -Our host was very gracious and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and things to see in town -The boat was immaculately clean and there were no signs of damp or anything like that We’d definitely stay here again!

The owner was so helpful both before and after our stay. The boat was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Marina staff couldn't have been more helpful and the location was amazing.

Offering river views, DIAMANTEDOURO - Boat is an accommodation situated in Vila Nova de Gaia, 2.2 km from Lavadores Beach and 4.2 km from Boavista Roundabout. Awesome location, cruise and guests. We spent a great family time. We will recommend anyone asking.

Located in Vila Nova de Gaia and only 2.1 km from Lavadores Beach, Noite a bordo c/PA em veleiro -rio Douro provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. We have traveled many places with different adventures and accommodations, sleeping in wagons out west in Zion, log cabins in grand canyon, camping by beach in cape cod, but havd never slept in a sailboat until now. I would not say it was the most comfortable way, but it was a wonderful experience. Loving traditional Portuguese breakfast and sailing around river made up the difference. I would recommend this stay for follow travelers and alike. Thank You Tomaz for your hostility!

Offering a terrace and river view, Douro4sailing is set in Porto, 2.9 km from FC Porto Museum and 4 km from Estadio do Dragao. The boat is 31 foot, and has a large external cockpit area under canvas. In sunny weather, the sides can be raised to provide a lovely comfortable social area. Even in poor weather, the stern canvas wall can be raised to provide a very pleasant spot for a drink - the marina staff kindly brought them down. The boat is on an inside berth in the marina, so that if, as was the case for us, there are large boats on the outside berth, there is not much sea to be seen. Inside is a saloon cabin, which can be used for eating, or converted to a bed (the "second bedroom"). Off the saloon, there is a separate toilet/shower, and the separate sleeping cabin. All are comfortable, but limited in height and space, especially the sleeping cabin. The mattress and pillows are hard. You need to be reasonably agile to get into the sleeping cabin, and to move around the toilet section. There is a coffee machine in the saloon, and a microwave, but no other cooking facilities. We had no hot water. The prepaid 2 course supper was kindly delivered, precooked, but in the process of delivery, the chips had lost their crispness. Food was otherwise OK. We provided our own wine. Overnight, there was singing and music from the marina, till after midnight, and there were the usual noises of boats and people moving. Breakfast was not served on the boat, but was available in the marina. Check in was remote, and not simple. You follow Google directions to the marina, not well signed, past the (closed) print museum, and there is a barrier next to a fishing shop. Just inside the barrier, attached to the fence, is a small box/Keysafe, opened with a code supplied by the owner. Unfortunately the key card was not inside when we opened the box, making things yet more complicated. We were never told why the card was missing. We were helped by the owner contacting an employee of the marina to let us and our car, into the marina. Overall, it was a fun experience.

Offering a bar and river view, SLEEPBOAT Barco Hotel is situated in Porto, 2 km from Campanha Train Station and 2.9 km from FC Porto Museum. We had our 13 year old grandson with us and he was super impressed with the choice of accommodations. The host was perfect and went to great lengths to make us feel comfortable. Snacks were provided that we all enjoyed. We were able to eat a nice small breakfast before leaving. I highly recommend this sleepboat when in Porto.
