Xandari Riverscapes are a fleet of house boats which sails along Vembanad Lake and in the backwaters of Alleppey. The houseboats are docked near Pallathuruthy Bridge. Highly recommended - the team looking after us were fantastic! Our boat was called Karamanayar and the food prepared by chef Mahesh was sublime! The captain Venu was delightful and Rejeesh was so attentive and helpful. This boat had an upper deck which was a great place to get the best views.

We drove around the lake and just relaxed with chilled beer and good music We stopped at a fish market and got prawns and crab and the crew cooked them up for us in addition to their dinner meal

The staff is kind and attentive. In one of the stops, we bought giant prawns and the chef cooked them for us. In spite of the slow and not promising beginning The air conditioning worked well, in spite of the slow and not promising beginning, which was very important, considering how hot the weather was during my stay.
