For someone who lives a stone throw away from a major motorway and a busy airport, this was just divine. The boat was kitted out really nicely. I was there just for one night but had everything I needed from a way to make my morning coffee, to soft towels and an array of cooking utensils. Situated in Nantes in the Pays de la Loire region, Surprenantes- Le DÔ has a terrace and river views. Cleverly furnished house boat. Good location. Clean. Small items such as coffee (+coffee machine), tea, a little oil and balsamico vinegar were there already. "SPAR" grosseries across the river, as well as several lively cafes right opposite. Lovely walk along the river bank, which keeps getting greener the more one walks away from the center. Everything worked fine, including heating, WC and shower pressure. The bed is retractable under the big kitchen "table". Helpful staff over phone even after hours. It would have loved to stay a few more days.
