We are a small familiy and we all loved it. Captain Ahmed and Islam were the most gentle of men, a pleasure to have met them. The food was delicious and plentiful. Due to our flight times we stayed in Aswan on the first evening. Gamal, the owner, showed us around his homeplace, Elephantine Island, which was interesting. On the Nile, the stopping points in the evening were islands, which were safe and peaceful. We had refreshing swims.

This led me to explore other options, where I discovered Houseboat Hotel and Nile Cruises Zainoba. Immediately after booking, I received a message from Abdul. He asked me to contact him on WhatsApp, where we discussed various cruise options. Originally, we planned a three-day journey from Aswan to Luxor, but given the time constraints, it wasn't feasible. Abdul skillfully proposed an alternative plan to disembark at Edfu, arranging a car to Luxor from there. Upon check-out at our Aswan hotel, Abdul and his crew were ready at the docks. Their friendliness was outstanding, assisting us with our luggage and providing a detailed tour of the boat along with our travel itinerary. To our delight, they even arranged wine for each dinner on board! The cruise itself was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The crew frequently engaged with us, sharing laughs and conversations, enhancing the experience. We were treated to three delicious local meals daily, and they always ensured we had everything we needed. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Each night, the boat would anchor at small islands along the Nile, resuming its journey post-breakfast. I am extremely pleased that we chose Abdul's boat over the larger commercial cruise ships. It was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a unique and personal Nile cruise!

My Dream Nile Felucca is a beachfront property located in Aswan, 23 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum and 1 km from Nubian Museum. - very nice felucca, just as we expected and well equipped (mosquito net, plaide, cushion) - Ahmed cooks very well, preparing good meals and breakfasts + often offers us tea and coffee - Kind and benevolent crew, especially during a swim in the Nile (especially when there were 2 of us girls). - Wonderful scenery: we saw lots of animals and greenery, a welcome change from the big city.

We had the most amazing stay at Anakob and really couldn’t recommend this place enough if you are looking for fantastic hospitality and an unforgettable stay on the River Nile. When we arrived on our overnight train from Cairo, Mahmoud (in house manager) had arranged a driver to pick us up from Aswan station and he took us to the ferry port where a motorboat was waiting to take us to our accommodation. The process was smooth and really appreciated after a long night on the train. We were also able to check into our room straight away which had brilliant air conditioning and a warm shower. Upon freshening up we were welcomed with a refreshing hibiscus drink, beautiful coffee and ordered a chicken tagine for lunch for only 200LE which was delicious. During our stay Mahmoud arranged drivers to take us to both Philae Temple (Mahmoud) and one to Abu Simbel (Ahmed) and both cars were really comfortable making it a very pleasant experience. The drivers waited for us whilst we explored the sites which was great. I would really recommend booking through the accommodation as it made the whole process very easy! On both nights of our stay we headed out for dinner and again Mahmoud organised motorboats for us to take us to, and pick up from the different restaurants we visited. We want to say a massive thank you to Mahmoud & his team for a wonderful stay at Anakob, we will definitely be back if we return to Aswan in the future!
