Beautiful hotel with pool, sauna and steam room on the upper floor. Friendly staff. Lovely room with balcony overlooking the town and up to the mountains. Did the train rides south and north from Jenbach. North up yo Achensee particularly recommended - steam train and boat combination!

perfect location with unbelievable views of Lake Archensee. There was a lovely terrace, great shower and because we stayed for a week we had access to the kitchen which was an unexpected surprise. Carolina was a wonderful host, super helpful and an all-round welcoming committee who helped us get our bearings in Achensee. she advised about supermarkets, busses, boat tours, hiking trails etc. she is a one woman information bureau.

Breakfast is exceptional. Nice lake view from our room balcony. Hotel was at the end of the small town, and everything we wanted was within a walking distance (e.g. Restaurants, Boats, etc).

Staying in the castle is extraordinary. It's like staying in a museum. The bathroom is new and stylish. The rooftop windows open to the crystal waters lake. You may use the boat on the lake. The staff are very polite and professional.
