-The location of this property is excellent, very close to the beach and the northern point of Nungwi. -The Masai huts were fun to stay in as an experience and the shared bathroom facilities were modern -The manager Mounir was very friendly and a hospitable group of guests made me feel very welcome. I was travelling alone and together we went to a local dinner and on a boat trip. -Perfect for a short stay

The owners were incredibly helpful. The ATM did not work with my Chase debit card so they provided me with TZ shillings to do the boat tours and a little shopping. Such a BIG help! The location was great away from the big resorts and close to the beach. My room was cleaned and tidied every day and very comfortable. Breakfast is included and quite good. I also had dinner there and it was delicious.

Max was informative and gave recommendations for restaurants as well as booking a boat excursion to snorkel and swim with dolphins. Yahya was excellent with booking us transfers. Since we visited during rainy season the power often went out at night but was quickly restored. The included breakfast was varied and wonderful. We especially appreciated the free water to fill our bottles. The property is beautiful as well. Would definitely recommend Babalao!

Large rooms with working aircon, small refreshing pool and friendly staff (they prepared us a takeaway breakfast when we had an early start for a boat trip and let us keep drinks in the fridge). Also delicious food, more than ample breakfast included and all at a very reasonable price. The location is close to the local beach, with a few bars and restaurants nearby. It's slightly away from the main tourist area but we preferred this as it was peaceful and we enjoyed the walk along the beachfront towards the main part of the resort.

Location is perfect - within walking distance to restaurants and markets, boat trips to mnemba island right outside hotel Semi-private beach when the tide is up in afternoon is great with steps down from hotel, hardly any people 24 hour reception Good choice at breakfast Sea view rooms have an amazing view definitely worth the small increase in price The housekeeper ladies are lovely and do a great job :)

We booked but did not stay here. It was not as advertised. We were looking forward to a lovely place on the beach with a pool... NOT beach front. Located behind new buildings in an alley and no actual beach to speak of. Old fishing boats and boat builders around. Very budget. There was a pool however, it was really dirty...I would not go in it. We left. Booking.com was very helpful.

A good social place if you're a solo traveller. The rooms are comfortable and surprisingly quiet at night. The shared bathrooms have really hot water and good water pressure. Perfect location close to the beach and different places of interest in nungwi. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rafael at reception was always here to help me with finding places to eat or booking my boat ride back.

The place is awesome and really well located. Super clean and so much worth it price wise. The breakfast is so good. The staff and Katja (the owner) is just amazing…she helped us sort out a boat trip, transportation for whatever we needed. Also, we ended up staying 1 less day than our booking because we went for a safari earlier than expected. She gave us the refund of that last day even though she didn’t need to. We couldn’t appreciate it more.
