Get out on the water (without ever leaving the dock!) on a commercial boat. Guests have access to a partial or entire boat, yacht or houseboat, which will remain docked throughout the stay. Meals and additional services may be available -- a nautical getaway awaits.
The view was beautiful, restful, and the balcony is perfect to watch the boats. We visited the canal and we got back to the room just as the ship we watched go through the locks was passing by the hotel. The location really is perfect. There is a wonderful walking trail next to the hotel. It goes along the shore, under mango and flowering trees.
The pool was quite nice, if small. The hotel grounds were great for birding and boat watching along the canal. Did not have breakfast included, but the small cafe off the lobby had some very good options. Lots of nice spaces for sitting and relaxing both insude and outside the hotel
We arrived in Hostel Wunderbar from Panama City the day before we headed on our boat trip of the San Blas Islands from Linton Bay Marina.
It was the perfect place to rest up before our boat trip. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful - organising a taxi for us the next morning to get to the Marina.
It is a quiet Hostel with everything you need for a short stay.
We had an amazing view and enjoyed watching the boats on the canal.
For the money ( we paid for b&b) thought breakfast was ok - not gourmet but sufficient.
Kids enjoyed the pool.
We ate at a restaurant a minutes walk from the hotel - think it was called Canal House ? It was nice.
We enjoyed the city rainforest - saw lots of wildlife! The canal was awesome - get there early!! We were planning on visiting for 11 which would have been too late!

We stayed here for two nights before catching a Boat to Colombia. For this it was a great choice. Excellent price and great location. Loads of good restaurants in the area.
Located close to the historic city center and right at the entrance of the canal (in a green environment). From the swimming pool you can see large container boats right in front of you. Otherwise nice hotel, in a calm environment, few nice close by restaurants.
We love this small hotel on the water with the balconies... great views especially from 3rd floor. Comfortable very clean rooms.. Great location near many restaurants , boats, peddle vehicles, easy access to hwy to central Panama , Casco Viejo and downtown Panama City.
We have spent an 85th Birthday and 30th anniversay with family groups.
We all enjoyed it very much.
The view is awesome. The breakfast is ok. The price is right. When we are going out of Amador on a boat or ferry, or just returning from an Island, this hotel is great.
The price is nice, so we have also stayed here on other occasions that we just were in the City anyway.
