We felt very comfortable on the boat. When the city became too crowded and hectic, this was the perfect place to retreat. Every day we had a visit from a family of coots with babies. The stocked fridge on our arrival was very nice as we arrived unexpectedly later than planned.
The host deserves a special mention. Fake was kind enough to send us a stuffed bear that our son had forgotten on the boat. But not only that. He also documented the bear's adventures, which it had experienced without us in Amsterdam. Very kind.

A wonderful farmstay just outside of Amsterdam - stunning scenery, very cute cow-themed room, peaceful and clean. Beautiful walk to Monnickendam and easy Uber trip (or you can catch the local bus) to/from Amsterdam. Enjoyed visiting the animals - cows, chickens & cats. The host, Jannie, is a very lovely lady, and she also offers kayaks/pedal boats for hire.
The houseboat was truly a lovely experience! Amsterdam was the last stop of our 14 day tour, before returning home to Asia. This added a really sweet finale touch to our trip soaking in the atmosphere on the houseboat. The boat was comfy, clean, had everything you would need and oh...goegeous sunset views! Mark n Linda were awesome hosts, extremely helpful, warm n welcoming! Lovely n friendly neighbours from the boat next door too!
The boathouse, marina and the small city are very beautiful. Mark provided all the details and information, plus as we arrived quite late he was very kind to meet us and go together to the houseboat showing around and explaining where/how to go.
Overall the houseboat is very spacious, clean, and have all the amenities you need (except toiletries - shower gel, shampoo, toothpast, etc. - so make sure to bring with you or buy at the local supermarket)
We loved the location in the most beautiful little town. It was so covenient for fluisterboat trips, e bikes and sightseeing in Amsterdam.
The house was so clean and well equipped.
Jannie was very welcoming and gave us a full tour of the farm before we settled in our room. She also had wonderful suggestions for activities in the area. She was very thoughtful and had fresh eggs in the room and brought us plums picked from the trees in the yard. Some of our favorite activities on the farm were: brushing the horses, watching the chickens, riding the trikes, using the pedal boats, and walking to see the cows.
This is a great place, very quiet at night, directly opposite of the marina, with a great view on the boats in the sea. It is a very large room with a table and chairs, has access to a kitchen with all the basics you need.
I travelled to Amsterdam Centraal in the morning which is only a 20 minutes bus ride away with very frequent buses. It was much more relaxed staying a bit outside of Amsterdam.
