Get out on the water (without ever leaving the dock!) on a commercial boat. Guests have access to a partial or entire boat, yacht or houseboat, which will remain docked throughout the stay. Meals and additional services may be available -- a nautical getaway awaits.
Very hospitable hosts, giving lots of local info, keen to help. Christina has the place very well organised, really nice room, good space, comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, and Jim followed up with an interest in what guests are doing. Great location on the Caledonian canal, outside your door, and it was interesting to see a couple of boats in the locks. Probably best to have a car, and parking easily available.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and ensuite were spacious, and breakfast was included, which was plentiful. The bed was very comfy, and the location was perfect, in-between inverness and the loch ness exhibition centre and jacobite boat cruises. We had one evening meal, which was tasty and reasonably priced. We had a good stay at the hotel and would stay again if we were passing through.
The location is right on the Caledonia canal and the views are stunning. With boats going past our window but not intrusive we went for walks along the canal and enjoyed the sights. It was within walking distance of shops and food places. The breakfasts provided by Jim were excellent produce and expertly cooked with a homely warm attitude. The both went above and beyond for me after my operation i honestly can’t say enough good things about s
Well furnished and decorated cottage, very comfortable with everything you might need for your stay. Our 4 year old loved the little bath upstairs, and the downstairs bathroom was very spacious and comfy. Loch Ness boat trips set off right across from the cottage and is right next door to a lovely daytime cafe.
The house was immaculate and fully furnished with all the things one wants in a home! Although the owner said she remodeled 7years ago it looks and feels brand new! Love the quiet area- with 2 good restaurants and bar within walking distance. Highly recommend! For us, it was nice to be outside of Inverness- and enjoyed watching the boat traffic on the water.
Location was perfect, by the canal and while close to the centre, it was away from the busy noise of the city. Lovely yachts and boat sail by.
Breakfasts were delicious; freshly cooked with a choice of anything we wanted as well as beautiful fresh fruits.
Sadly we had to skip brwakfast in order to catch a early bus to Ullapool to then catch a boat to stornaway but we did rather like to cosy feeling of the hotel in general
Never been in a caravan before, so it was an adventure. Surprised how big caravans can actually be. Location close to the city, boat rides. Bed on a harder side; I really like that. Very quiet night.
The house was beautiful. It was even nicer than the photos. It was very clean and comfortable, and it smelled great. Hazel was a very attentive host. North Kessock is a fantastic alternative to Inverness with its parking issues. We had a takeaway from the White Cottage and we played pool in the North Kessock Hotel. We even saw the RNLI boat being launched.
