Get out on the water (without ever leaving the dock!) on a commercial boat. Guests have access to a partial or entire boat, yacht, or houseboat, which will remain docked throughout the stay. Meals and additional services might be available – a nautical getaway awaits.
Staff were amazing, they couldn't have done any more for us. Breakfast menu choices and breakfast food were fabulous. We prebooked evening meals as the restaurant does get busy, really good choice and food and great service by the staff. Lovely rooms, we had a king room and our daughter and grandson had a family room that was perfect for them, lots of space. Short walk to the local convenience store and to the local village shops, plus a slightly longer walk to the seafront and the RNLI lifeboat station.
The Captain's Cabin at the Pilot Boat Inn is effectively a one bedroom flatlet with its own private entrance; the large bed was very comfortable; having a separate Lounge with a door that could be closed was a bonus as we had our dog with us and this allowed us to keep her out of the bedroom. Parking is directly outside the entrance door, so unloading bags etc was very easy.
Breakfast was very nice and very well presented. Also, because you're on a houseboat there were only two other couples besides us, and our hosts made for a pleasant morning chatting at breakfast.
The host were great and very welcoming .they greeted us at our car and gave us tour of the houseboat. They were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities. The balcony in the living room , overlooking the sea was beautiful. We had a great experience.
The houseboat was magical and the hosts were so welcoming; we are literally going to miss them! Breakfast was great and lots of choices. The common areas were so comfortable and sitting on the deck was spectacular. Would thoroughly recommend this venue and felt like we were in a little bubble of relaxation.
The whole experience of staying on a houseboat. The hosts also added to a great stay their interaction was second to none giving it a homely feeling. The breakfast choice was excellent only continental but that suit us. The houseboatwas clean and tidy to a high standard and we couldn't fault it in anyway. The rear decking with seating on allowed us watch the sunset each evening. This is probably a hidden gem of the Isle of white wish we had found this in previous visits to the Island.
The location was excellent and the hosts, Tony and Diane were very welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The houseboat itself was fabulous.
