The location, so peaceful, only a 10 minute walk to the town. Surrounded by beautiful countryside. Breakfast was really nice, a buffet style. The town itself is lovely, beautiful hanging baskets. We also did a walk along the river and watched the boats. Easy to catch the bus to Oxford, would definitely recommend

The location was good. It was handy they had a mooring for our boat, but Mooring cost £30 whereas it is free at Beetle and Wedge and Don Giovanni even when just dining there.

Lovely hotel, warm welcome and a nice spacious room with a comfortable bed. Good directions given for parking. Breakfast was amazing with friendly service and a good selection cooked to order. Abingdon itself is a very nice place to visit - we had a couple of good walks along the Thames path and hired a rowing boat for a couple of hours (from AV boats - also highly recommended!) which was good fun!

Absolutely stunning location with views of the River Thames and passing canal boats from the rear gardens. Very comfortable room. Helpful staff. Excellent value for the Abingdon area. It was quite magical to walk around the town and riverbanks (only minutes away on foot)

The buildings on site are well-renovated and breathed history, framed by a canal and a river active with boats. We stayed in the main lodge, which had a large lobby, restaurant and bar. The two rooms we stayed in had character and space, were comfortable, and had large windows overlooking well kept gardens. The staff were amazingly helpful, attentive and friendly. The breakfast was superb. Great location too, two blocks from town, where there were many choices for food and drink. A perfect setting for a wonderful holiday.

Room great, staff very friendly and professional. Location was perfect , central to everything. Lovely room very clean. We requested rooms that were adjacent which was accommodated. The view from the back of the hotel, lovely place to sit on a summers evening, watching the barges and boats on the river.

The location is wonderful and with the nice weather, we were able to enjoy breakfast outside under a parasol watching the boats go by. The bed was super comfortable and it was silent at night enabling this v light sleeper to get 10 hours straight, which is rare. The staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful.
