Get out on the water (without ever leaving the dock!) on a commercial boat. Guests have access to a partial or entire boat, yacht or houseboat, which will remain docked throughout the stay. Meals and additional services may be available -- a nautical getaway awaits.
Great host and hostess. Very welcoming. Right on the river (it's a boat after all) and easy access to Avignon. Quiet at night. Has parking. Oozing with character. They give you beer when you arrive and breakfast each morning.
Benjamin is a great host. The boat is really cool and had everything we needed. The main room was a bit too warm ( we had really warm days while visiting) but other than that we enjoyed the experience very much!
Great location by the river, easy walk or free boat ride into the old town. Plenty of on site parking and outdoor seating area. Man on reception very helpful and friendly.
This barge is a unique and lovely place to stay! We loved looking outside the boat to see the river flowing by. A nice break from the noise of the city. The barge is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, much more spacious than we explected. The private bathrooms in each of the three bedrooms were a real plus. The kitchen is well equipped too, so we bought food at Les Halles to eat onboard in the evening. Can't recommend enough!
The boat was a great surprise. Clean, cozy and very quiet. a wonderful view of the city from the port hole. Good air-condition, good bed and shower. The dry toilets are no problem, and we had a very good night in a good price in the most touristic place...

We had a fantastic experience on the house boat. The boat has been finished to a really high spec. All the gear you need to cook with, brilliant terrace to enjoy the sunshine, and it’s easy enough to access Avignon from.
Our stay at Peniche Althea was one of the highlights of our trip! Séverine was welcoming and knowledgeable and the houseboat was beautiful and quiet. Would return to Avignon just to stay there again.
