A fan (most useful) coffee and tea making facilities, a small fridge. Large bath and shower. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend. 10star guest house for sure.

We have been in south Africa for three weeks and visited several places and accommodations. Our stay in the kubu lounge was definitely one of the best experiences on our trip. It is impressive how this lounge is designed and intergradet to the surrounding nature. The feeling in the morning when the sun rises up and the animals come around the lounge was breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Taking a shower outside in nature was an cool experience for us. The breakfast was delicious and made with love from Annelie and John. Finally we would like to say a big thank you to our hosts and now friends Annelie and John for making our stay a 10/10. They have such a positive attitude and were so friendly & helpful to us!

Reception was lovely and extremely helpful - went out of her way to make sure we were safe upon arrival (had to drive in at night) and missed the potholes upon exit. We arrived at the Ngalali Retreat after a long drive and Xander and staff helped us feel at home immediately. After a hearty lunch Xander introduced us to our first safari experience of the African bush. Xander is a true naturalist who, over the course of the next few days, generously shared his knowledge, passion and experience of the land and wildlife that surrounded us. At the end of each day Xander joined us for exceptional Italian cuisine and helped us to process the days adventures with interesting anecdotes of his own. Our day in the actual Kruger Park paled in comparison. The Ngalali Retreat accommodations were very comfortable with all the comforts of home. What can I say - we slept well each night and arose rested, with fresh anticipation. The whole experience more than exceeded our expectation.
