Centrally located property with kind and thoughtful staff. Perfect for a comfortable stay in Tunis. Feriel was quick to answer any questions, recommend local places and fix any issues as they arose. Dar Mayya er staðsett í La Marsa, í innan við 7,8 km fjarlægð frá Salammbo Tophet-fornleifasafninu og 3,7 km frá Carthage-golfvellinum. Guillemette and Lotfie were incredible hosts!! They made my stay in Tunisia so special/amazing - I truly felt as if I was staying with family, I was very well taken care of. The house/garden is beautiful. While you are not in a city/town (more of suburb) it's the perfect launching point for the city center, La Marsa, Sidi Bou Said, etc. and taxi's are quite easy to get (via Bolt) and cheap. It was wonderful to come back after a long day exploring to the peace and quiet of the property. I would highly recommend you try Lotfie's cooking! I ate here every night for dinner and never went to bed hungry :) He makes delicious, authentic Tunisian dishes with a lot of love and care. If I ever come back to Tunisia, I'll be staying here again for sure. Thank you both!!

It's a very pretty and quaint place, perfect for relaxation. The courtyard is dominated by a pink peppercorn tree which is surrounded by blossomed plants and shrubs. Simba the cat lounges on the outdoor seating. Check out the photos (the room photo is from when I was leaving, it was much tidier when I arrived) The location is amazing! The La Marsa downtown and the TGM train station which connects to Sidi Bou Said, Carthage, and Tunis is a 2 minute walk away. My room was fantastic, it had everything I needed. However, the doorway into the bathroom area was a bit small (for me as 189 cm tall guy) so if you're a big person, might be a bit tight but easily manageable. The bathroom and toilet areas are normal sized. Except for that nitpick, no other faults. Said and Fufu are fantastic hosts and made me feel like a part of the family throughout my stay. Said is a very fun and interesting person to talk to, I had some great conversations with him. Overall, a very kind-hearted couple! If you are a solo traveller and this is your first time in Tunisia (like it was for me) I would highly recommend this place. La Marsa is a safe neighbourhood and well connected to the nearby sites.

This beautiful old house, perfectly renovated and refurbished with love, is located in the heart of La Marsa Cubes in the second row to the beach. It is a beautiful, full of lovely details and art and very quiet location. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was very sumptuous and varied. Our requests were very kindly accommodated. All in all, highly recommended. An absolute oasis of well-being to relax and sleep. After the very generous breakfast, which is also served until noon, one is satiated to start the day and explore the surroundings. The beach is well frequented during the months of July and August on weekends. In the morning and during the week, however, one has his peace.
