The garden is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and relax and eat breakfast. The family who run it are friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend asking about the massage you can schedule with Esaú, as it is wonderful. The host Ana Maria made amazing recommendations to me and helped me set up a wonderful surprise for my partner who is now my fiancee after our stay at El Nido Flor de Pajaro.

If there's anything you need they're always there to help or chat with you, even with my language barrier! I was extremely lucky to chat with them about the history and culture of the area and learned alot! The breakfasts were also great. And the common room was super cozy and chill, I loved the hammocks and mountain view. Everything was clean, tidy, and organized. The hostal is in a nice location. I had no issues walking the area around the hostal at night. In fact, if you do need to grab a dinner go to the pupuseria next door, one of the best dinners of my entire trip. Everything you'll need is in walking distance.

This property seems to be your just average hostal. What I like about is that the Co-Ed dorm had curtains for privacy and the beds were comfortable compared to many beds I’ve stayed on over the years and through my travels. It’s quite loud since the door stays open and there’s a sitting area right outside and also an open area that extends all the way downstairs. I really can’t speak as to whether or not it’s conveniently located to the historic center because I arrived late and left early. Staff was nice. They have filtered water. I had no idea breakfast was included and it smelled delicious.
