Great budget location in São Tomé and the staff really goes above and beyond to help you.

Sonho Non is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Santana, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. A place where you feel like you're home, in the best possible way. Everything exceeded expectations: perfect breakfast, wonderful meals, comfortable bed and room, host kindness and readiness to help with any matter or unexpected request (we had many of these, traveling with a baby). Best value for money in São Tomé, by our experience visiting the island for the second time (and going around, staying in several accomodations). Highly recommend it.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, VIP House-Praia Francesca is set in São Tomé. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. This accommodation was for us the start of a dream vacation. The comfort and size of the accommodation alone would be reason for us to rate highly. In addition, the incredibly dear and impressive host. We very rarely get into raptures, but this host is a sensation: so warm, so interesting and interested: simply impressive and what a gift to experience. A few more words about the accommodation. The accommodation is large, very clean and has a sensational terrace. The bed is perfect and large, windows have mosquito protection, are tight and even have blinds (so you can make it nice and dark to sleep) The garden is a dream. You not only see (almost) all the fruits you dream of, but also get them served for breakfast. Indescribably beautiful as already mentioned the meeting with the landlord Mr. Simão. Many recommendations, lots of interesting information and conversations about the region. It was also ingenious to arrive so late and have a place to stay so close to the airport. We were picked up, although it is only a few hundred meters, with a jeep. After many hours of flight, a luxury to be received so and to land in such a nice accommodation. Our summary and with focus on a round trip: the perfect place to arrive or depart from São Tomé and Principe and spent time close to airport and a nice beach close to the town. If we were business travelers we would say: a perfect place to have a nice, calm and safe accommodation away from the center

Facing the seafront in Santa Cruz, Pousada Vila Paraíso features a garden and a terrace. i loved the location and also the fact that it was a working farm

Residêncial Tamarindos is situated in M. Peixe. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the bed and breakfast free of charge. Everything was very clean and New. Good quality also the food

Featuring free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool, São Pedro Guesthouse offers accommodation in São Tomé, 300 m from the main sea front and 5 minutes drive from the CBD. First and foremost, this is a place that provides a high level of service (and management) for reasonable cost. Sao Tome can at times be a little bit daunting for travel (in some ways part of the fun). Few places accept credit cards, no viable international ATM I could find, so you have to research/budget and bring Euros or USD and do money exchanges with random people on the street. Reminded me of travel to Eastern Europe in the 1980s. This guest house, however, removes all of those stresses. They not only take credit card for the room and change money with you at a decent rate, they will also give you dobras against a credit card charge if you run out of the cash you brought. Easy and a big relief if you're stressed about managing your money. They offer airport transfers (the owner himself drove me in his own car because the country had otherwise run out of gasoline and he had a diesel SUV); they have an reasonable and upfront policy about extra charges for late check out, which takes into account the schedules of the TAP flights to Accra and Lisbon; they have a reasonable bar out back by the pool. I'm sure some of the higher end hotels in town offer many of these services, but at least double if not triple the price. I was very happy to find an affordable hotel that also provided these extra services and would stay here again based on that. They had to ration diesel for the generator at certain times of the day due to the fuel crisis in the country but again this was all stated up front with signs in multiple languages, and was a very rational solution to a problem outside of management's control. Apart from that, the room was nice and quiet and to be able to swim in the big pool at dusk and watch the bats circle around overhead was a memorable experience.

Sweet Guest House is located in São Tomé. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning and a balcony. There is a full kitchen with a microwave and an oven. Spotless rooms, with aircon and very good internet, nice public areas and the option to use the kitchen. Airport pickup went without a hitch. I found the area around perfectly safe even at night, even as a solo female traveller. The nicer restaurants are about a 15-20 minute walk away, but there's a corner shop and several bakeries close by.

Located in Porto Alegre, 1.2 km from Praia Cabana, Big Mama's Little House Casa da Mãe Grande provides accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

Situated in São Tomé in the Sao Tome Island region, Santos`s House has a patio. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Location is good. Close to the centre. There is a nice patio on the 1st floor.

Located in Trindade, Roça Saudade Guest House features accommodation with seating area. Featuring full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. I stayed with this lovely mountain ecolodge for 2 nights, short stay yet I have to say that the experience was really fantastic! Fabulous mountain vibes, simple but tasted breakfast, dedicated and well-designed lunch menu, warm-hearted staffs, 24 hrs nice-flowing hot water, easy to arrive from the town/airport (no more than 40 mins)…Everything is prefect and I do wish to come back again with my family!
