They also offered some recommendations for future stops on my trip, since I had done almost no planning before coming to Senegal.

The warm reception at a rest hole by an artistic local soul. The dive in the Atlantic from this island. A 13,000 cfa per kg of fresh sea lobsters for dinner. Plus a 1000 cfa large squid, it was the best deal.
