Situated within 26 km of Dobsinska Ice Cave and 33 km of Spis Castle in Hrabušice, ASCONA provides accommodation with seating area. Hrabusice is the best base for a visit to Slovensky Raj and exploring the Spis region. Some hiking trails (Hornad canyon, Sucha Bela) are walking distance from the village, for the rest you would need a car as public transport is limited outside summer holidays. Due to some mix up with the booking Peter (the host) arranged for us to stay in an apartment in another part of the village. It was an upgrade as we had a whole very comfy apartment with kitchen to ourselves. Communication with Peter was fast and reliable and the proposed solution more than satisfactory! Tip for visitors: since April 2024 local tourist tax (2 euros per person per night) allows free entry to paid sites in Slovensky Raj and includes insurance for mountain rescue costs.

Amazing place to spend a few days with friends! Close to center, barbecue place, friendly owner. Recommended!😊😊😊

Penzion St. Martin is situated in the centre of Spišská Kapitula, UNESCO-protected area and offers views of the Spišský Castle as well as a garden, bar and on-site dining. Amazing property! The history and architecture of this place is really impressive! The food was amazing and the rooms are very clean and with a nice view. Also the people from reception and restaurant were very friendly and it was a real pleasure to spend time there.

Featuring a garden, shared lounge and views of city, Guest House Tri Koruny is situated in Spišská Stará Ves, 6.6 km from Niedzica Castle. Breakfast was outstanding. Choice of variety of breakfasts, fresh fruits, drinks; dinner was great local and cosmopolitan fair, everything was high quality; facilities were virtually brand new, and again everything was first class. Service was caring and attentive. Undervalued for what you get. I know this sounds made up but I can’t think of a single negative. Highly recommend this gem.

Set just 29 km from Spis Castle, Penzión Mária offers accommodation in Smižany with access to a fitness centre, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Lovely flat for a great price! We really appreciated the kitchen equipment and fridge, and the balcony with tables and chairs. The staff were very kind and accommodating! We would definitely stay there again.

Penzión Tulip is located in Červený Kláštor and it offers en-suite accommodation, a garden with barbecue facilities, a terrace and a children's playground. Very helpful owner. We had a problem with the refrigerator. Within 3 hours he brought a brand new one
