Only 1 km from the centre of Maribor, the Črni Baron Pension Black Baron is located in Malečnik, 20 metres from a bus stop. Rooms very clean and spacious.The restaurant,with so many choices and not expensive.The breakfast was so good !Before leaving we received a bag with bottles of water and apples.

Just 4.5 km from the centre of Maribor, the family-run Motel Lesnik offers a spa area and a miniature golf course. Free WiFi and wired internet is available in all rooms. Room was clean and comfort, well equipped. Breakfast was on, great coffee. Stuff was very kind and polite.

Location was perfect and the hosts were so helpful and kind. We had everything we needed and right down in the pedestrian area. Perfect!

It is a very nice place to stop for a night or more în Maribor. It is very close to the Pohorje ski lift. The area is quiet. They also have a very good restaurant.

I have found this place nearly randomly - we just needed one night stop to sleep on our way to Austria. The only criteria being outside of the cities. I have stumbled on Joannes Farm, read the reviews and (thank you for the ones pointing it out) understood that there is winery next door (contacts can be found on google maps, we booked over email). We booked wine tasting as an early evening activity - it was amazing - both the wine is of great quality, the owner who serves the tasting wines is a great story teller and an overall interesting person to spend some time next to the glass of wine. You can buy some wine as well for "takeaway". Once we have booked a room we got a question if we will want a dinner. I have trusted many other reviewers and said yes. We had it right after the wine tasting - at the time we were the only guests in the whole hotel and not only enjoyed restourant (and a really good restourant) food, but as well attention from the owner, who like his brother in the winery is as good story teller and has amazing personality. I hope I will be back.
