We can highly recommend the Alex Lagoon Tour which leaves from Fare Tokoau and whereby you swim with turtles, sting rays, sharks, snorkel between the corals, look for dolphins, etc. (book ahead in high season!). We would definitely come back here.

A recently renovated property, FARE TEMANEA is located in Papetoai near Papetoai Beach, Tiahura Beach. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. What a great find…good location, sort of in between anything you would want to visit…but the best thing were the use of the kayaks which we took out every morning to paddle to the little islands, beaches and to snorkel.
