Water and a snack in the room when we arrived, clear directions on safety and a mosquito net (after hearing dengue horror stories we were glad with this one!). We could leave our luggage during the day as our night bus left late, and he even waited outside with us as we were safe in our Uber and gave us a bottle of water for on the way.

We had the most AMAZING time at Totora Surf School and it was very hard to leave after three weeks! The rooms and property were always clean and organised and the view of the ocean is spectacular. Great value for money. But what made our stay so wonderful were the people! Laura and Diego are wonderful people and the care they put into their business is obvious. They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and were especially kind and attentive to my dog Colt who would be very happy if we stayed forever! :) Their surf school team are all great people and Colt and I were happy to leave having made a bunch of new friends!
