She was happy to indulge my talkative nature, had advice on hiking on Mt Taranaki, and made cookies/biscuits and hot chocolate. The room was cosy and felt like home, there was a fireplace with comfy chairs, and the garden was well-kept and verdant. Excellent location too. Quiet suburban neighborhood, just 15-20 minutes' drive from New Plymouth, on easy roads. The southeastern tracks in Egmont National Park (Dawson Falls etc.) are 40 minutes away.

Judith was just the sweetest! She was very welcoming and warm! Her home is beautifully decorated, beds are comfy! We had great conversation around the breakfast table. She encouraged us to drive the Forgotten World Hwy and we are so glad we did! Regan House is one of our top experiences at a B n B’s! Our breakfast was outstanding 5 ⭐️! Highly recommend to stay here if you are in the area!
