It was very difficult to find a safe and open place in Acapulco after the hurricane in October. Thank goodness a guest left a very good review or I would not have visited this lovely place. Casa Breizh did sustain minor damage but was able to get everything cleaned to welcome guests. Very hard working owners that were extremely helpful & pleasant. Lovely areas to sit and enjoy the views, great kitchen and lounge area. Pool was very clean & great to cool off in. Nice cold beer at the small bar with good music playing. They are still cleaning up after Otis and are doing a fabulous job.

Casa Faro ligger i Troncones, 700 m fra Troncones Strand, og tilbyder værelser med aircondition samt privat strandområde. It was amazing. Situated right on the beach with a private deck and lovely walkway to the sand. The staff were completely accommodating and the room was clean, well appointed and large. We will return.

Casa de la Costa ligger i Troncones, få skridt fra Troncones Strand, og har pooludsigt. Dette overnatningssted ved stranden har gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Our best stop on our road trip to Mexico. We indulge way much better quality in service, room decoration and comfort.. than the 5 stars hotels that we have visited on our 14 day trip. Don't miss to sit by the chairs, right next to the ocean, under the coconut trees, to drink your morning coffee, hearing the sound of the ocean waves! A must visit place...honestly!

Casa Arcoiris Zihuatanejo ligger i Zihuatanejo og har udendørs swimmingpool, have og terrasse. Samtlige værelser har balkon med havudsigt. The Casa Arcoiris is a magical place - not least thanks to its hosts, Humberto & Jesus, both of whom have the uncanny skill of turning a traveller's choice into a magnificent home-like experience. I was given a stunning room with a private deck & kitchenette (a stone iguana curled up on the sink), and a view of the ocean. I could see the Pacific without lifting my head from the pillow - and when I worked in the late afternoons, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful office, sunset and all. There was even outdoor lighting and an outdoor socket - perfect for writing & typing late into the night. Butterflies and birds by day, chirping geckos and cicadas at night. The room is tastefully decorated (not overdone) in Mexican style, with two calavera Catrinas watching over those asleep from a cinnabar wall recess. The shower area floor is lined with stones, two starfish perched on a sand-coloured wall. The room has everything one can ask for, refrigerator & hotplate to fast WiFi and sliding glass doors and A/C for the night. The property has a rooftop pool for communal use, with further gorgeous views of the bay - and of the hills on the other side, if you manage to get your eyes off the sparkling waters :) Breakfast was also a dream, with a different hot local dish daily, your diet restrictions taken care of. Jesus is a splendid cook. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach; this also means you are close to the ocean while well away from nighttime beach party noise. The chacalacas are the noisiest creatures around :) It's a gem - I can't wait to go back. Should have booked a longer stay.

BM Zihua Casa de Huéspedes ligger i Zihuatanejo i Guerrero-regionen og tilbyder indkvartering med adgang til et offentligt bad. The place was very clean. Had a summer kitchen with a bunch of tables and a swimming pool. Owners always had coffee in the morning ready to drink. There was a selection of alcohol to enjoy after dinner. Room had air-conditioning. The owners were always accommodating.

Hostal Casa Pajaritos ligger i Taxco de Alarcón i Guerrero-regionen, 29 km fra nationalparken Cacahuamilpa og 200 m fra Santa Prisca de Taxco. Pensionatet har familieværelser. Wonderful location in the market near the zócalo, beautifully maintained property, very sweet and friendly hosts ! Non-touristy, authentic mexican experience.
