We found no ants in our room. The hostess was one of the nicest people we have met in Sri Lanka. She was so welcoming and kind. Showed us animals and plants in her garden. The food was delicious and affordable, we even got complimentary smoothies. And the safari we booked through JAMI had a good price. Thank you!

Located within less than 1 km of Tissa Wewa and 25 km of Bundala Bird Sanctuary in Tissamaharama, Tissa Rainbow Guest & Yala provides accommodation with seating area. The owner was super hospitable, welcomed us with a couple of cold coconuts, always with a smile and trying to help. The room and the bathroom was super clean and it’s very close to the lake by walk and also you have the amazing trees with the Fruit vats 5 min walking distance. The location is far from town but better this way because is more quiet. You can also book the safary with him and he also offers food. Súper recommended!!!!

21 km from Situlpawwa, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated property set in Kataragama and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It was our second stay in this place, we really enjoyed our previous stay 3 years ago. Beautifully located guesthouse surrounded by rice fields. Very local vibes. You can get easy to the Katharagama temples and Yala National Park. Owners can arrange everything that you need. At the place you can buy local cinnamon etc. Highly recommend 👌

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

We had an amazing stay thanks to our incredibly kind and helpful host! He went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. He organized a fantastic safari for us and even took us on a special night trip to see bats and crocodiles with flashlights. On top of that, he gave us a tuk-tuk ride and offered transport to our next destinations, which was very thoughtful and convenient. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and our room was very good – clean, comfortable, and with excellent air conditioning. The host’s positive attitude and genuine care for his guests truly made the difference. His hospitality deserves all the recognition! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Situated in Tissamaharama, 1.8 km from Tissa Wewa, Yala Safari Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The house is located at the shore of a beautiful lake. You can see on the lake birds, water buffalos, and big crocodiles. We took a safari through them with King Safari. I am glad we went with their recommendation as they provided an experienced driver, and we saw 2 leopards. The room was spacious, clean, with a big mosquito net and the bed was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were huge and tasty. I would recommend staying here at least 2 nights.

Dilushika and Gayan were exceptional hosts, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delightful, and we also enjoyed dinner there—Dilushika's egg kottu is the best! The garden is stunning! I could have easily stayed longer. The beds were comfortable, complete with mosquito nets for a peaceful night's sleep. I loved sleeping by the soothing sounds of birds. The view is absolutely breathtaking! They also organize safari at the best price with excellent guides. Additionally, they arranged a taxi to Ella for us at a rate even better than Uber.

Located just 2.1 km from Kirinda Beach, Suduweli Beauties of Nature - Yala provides accommodation in Kirinda with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Super unique property with wetlands surrounding it and owner’s special “pets”. Hosts were lovely and arranged amazing safari for me. They are very kind and helpful!! Highly recommend.

The hostfamily is so super sweet and lovely. They were always helping us out with everything and they were taking care of us like family. The room is spacious, modern and clean with air conditioning. The bed has a mosquitonet. The shower works great. There is wifi. They offer laundry service and they offer safari trips. The owner brought us to to the busstop. Their breakfast is lovely!
