Chaminda is an excellent host. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of accurate, up to date information about the area and things to do (much more up to date information than we were able to find online). The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The bedding is nice, warm and cosy – perfect for the slightly cooler weather in Nuwara Eliya. The shower had good hot water. The breakfast was nice and always on time each morning. We’d happily stay again.

If you’re coming to Nuwara Eliya with visions of old world charm this is the place for you. We loved our huge bedroom, it was perfect for a family of four. The decor and building design are gorgeous. The home is spotlessly clean. The hosts were very kind. The food delicious and fresh, the free breakfast was outstanding. It is a bit out of the town centre but this was a positive in our eyes. Easy walk into town or tuk tuk is cheap. Really recommend this place.

Situated 7.8 km from Gregory Lake and 15 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden, Ansi Villa offers accommodation set in Nanu Oya. Most reliable wifi (assessed with speed test) I had throughout Sri Lanka. Comfortable bed, easy access to socket, clean and spacious toilet/shower room. Because of the altitude and climate, it’s generally not hot in October so you don’t get to be bothered by mosquitos that often. Hospitable host, a welcome cake and tea. Calm, polite and not pushy for adding meals etc. Near Nanuoya station. Overall a 9.8/10.

Great facilities, comfortable bed, very helpful and friendly staff and incredible beautiful sunrise view! Close to the train station.

Offering a garden and garden view, RC AWKWARD is situated in Nuwara Eliya, 1.5 km from Gregory Lake and 5.5 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. This guest house provides a shared lounge. I had an excellent stay! The property was exceptionally clean, neat, and tidy. The landlord was very attentive, and the hospitality was outstanding. I have nothing to complain about—truly one of the best places you can find if you're visiting Nuwara Eliya.

Located 1.9 km from Gregory Lake, THE EDGWARE offers 3-star accommodation in Nuwara Eliya and features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Warm arrival with a hot or cold drink, great atmosphere created by amazing staff. Breakfast was beautiful, if you get a chance eat your dinner at the accommodation, it was our best meal of the trip. Wish we stayed longer.

Well located in Adams Peak, Water Side Residence provides a continental breakfast and free WiFi. This guest house offers free private parking and room service. Wonderful little property for Adam's Peak hike. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. Views are fantastic and it is quiet. Wish I had stayed one more night.

Located in Adams Peak and only 300 metres from Adam's Peak, Lavendra Guset House provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Large clean rooms with large bathrooms! Nice hot pressure water with a large bar of soap provided. Super friendly and helpful host who can answer any questions about hiking Sri Pada and transport logistics after. So so close to the start of the Sri Pada trail head. Delicious Sri Lankan and western breakfasts. Close to everything you need. Love the cute cat and fishes! I’m glad we stayed in Dalhousie, has a festive vibe because of the pilgrimage.

Absolutely loved this place! Was meant to stay for 1 night but extended for one more. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood, the facilities are great and the hosts are lovely. Give Pizza some scratches from me when you’re there 🥰
