Our recent family trip to Kenya was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of that was our incredible stay at a tented Leruk Maasai camp! With two young kids in tow, we weren't sure how they'd handle it, but this camp exceeded all expectations. Firstly, the accommodations were surprisingly luxurious. The tents were spacious and comfortable, providing a unique way to experience the Kenyan wilderness without sacrificing comfort. But the true stars of the show were the meals! Cooked by talented local chefs, the food was exceptional. Every night was a culinary adventure, bursting with fresh, flavorful dishes. John, the host, and his entire team deserve a standing ovation. Their courtesy and attentiveness were unmatched. They were always available to ensure our every need was met, making the entire stay smooth and enjoyable. One of the most memorable experiences was a guided walk led by Jacob. He took us to a nearby village, where we witnessed shepherds herding their livestock and learned about their daily routines. It was a fascinating glimpse into Kenyan culture that we wouldn't have had otherwise. The highlight of the trip, however, was the unforgettable jungle safari arranged by John himself! He personally guided us on game drives through the Masai Mara, ensuring we had the best possible wildlife viewing experience. The kids were absolutely enthralled, spotting lions, elephants, and countless other animals in their natural habitat. This trip wouldn't have been nearly as amazing without John and Jacob's dedication. They went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. Our kids especially had a blast, and that's the ultimate testament to a successful family vacation. If you're looking for an authentic Kenyan adventure with a touch of luxury, this tented camp is the perfect place to stay!

At the guest house, every unit has a wardrobe. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and linens for a supplement. The units include a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Great hosts, an excellent chef who cooked tasty meals thrice a day from local ingredients, comfy rooms and an enjoyable communal area. Location was lovely, in a village setting where we could witness rural daily life - children going to/returning from schools, shepherds/herders tending to their animals, the toll of cow bells, many varieties of bird songs and so on. Being close to Mara and a conservancy, we heard lions roaring one night.

Private experience with amazing food and very attentive service
A great location. Exceptionally good staff - very friendly and hard working. Considering that it had been badly damaged by a flash flood less than 3 months ago they have worked hard to restore the facilities.
Great location, beautiful cabin, very kind staff and amazing owner, I recommend highly!
Great location and lovely staff. Rooms were comfortable.
great location. friendly staff. nice rooms
Staff are amazing. Great Location. The signages on the roads leading to the hotel are not the most straightforward. Struggled a little with that. My stay was superb
I liked the food, the WiFi was so fast and the staff were super Friendly. Mayson was such a great host and Dennis was really amazing when it came to the game drive. There is also a stand-by generator in the event of a black-out. **These are just tents, anything loud ;) you do inside your tent will definitely be heard by the person in the next tent, lol.
Beautiful place in the hills of the Maara… extremely friendly and accommodating staff… amazing luxury tents… top-notch local guides - Alex, our guide, and Jon, the GM, are exceptionally welcoming and knowledgable… great food produced in their own gardens… incredible wildlife right in the reserve itself… beautiful game drives, not only in the Maara reserve but also in the conservatories which allow you to do walking safaris… bonfires for sunsets in the bush… just infredible… cannot recommend more… we had a wonderful time and will be back.
