The friendliness of the host family was amazing! They were very warm, constantly took care that I had all the necessities and showed me the best spots on the island; even helped me with the bike renting and the drive back to the airport! The room was also very clean and equipped with the essentials.

Set in Ishigaki Island, near Painuhama Artificial Beach, Yaeyama Museum and Nantominzoku Museum, ゲストハウス喜舎場 features a shared lounge. The hospitality and friendliness of the host! He even picked me up from the airport (as it fit his schedule) and told me interesting facts about Ishigaki. His little family treated me well from the start and I felt very welcome. The Guesthouse itself was really cute and had everything you need for a couple of days, I enjoyed my stay here a lot. にいふぁいゆ！

Located just 1.5 km from Sesoko Beach, Sesoko Blue offers accommodation in Sesoko with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. The building is new and well prepared for its purpose. It’s ultra clean and the owners make sure you feel well and home. Wonderful atmosphere.

Offering a garden and city view, Happy Island Miyako is situated in Miyako Island, 1.8 km from Painagama Beach and 3.4 km from Turiba Seaside Park. Nice staff and a very warm-hearted owner who is eager to help the guests. Open-air rooftop where you can feel the cool breeze. Offer everything with kitchen and bathroom stuff. Just bring your towel and a happy attitude. I took the buses from the beach to the other beach. I didn't bring an International driver's license, so no car for me. I could rent an electric bike, but I would rather sit on the air-conditioning buses. All the beaches in Miyako Jima are good, so taking buses close to any beach was not a problem. And this hostel is very close to the bus stop which goes to the airport also. Google map bus schedule is up to date, so you can trust that and just give and take 5-7min. I will miss this place for sure. I attached the food photo which the owner cooked for the guest that he caught on that day and the beach is 25 min walk from the hostel.

Featuring quiet street views, Travelers House おーさんてぃん青空舎 features accommodation with terrace, around 1.2 km from Naarasa Beach. It is located 1.2 km from Kondoi Beach and offers luggage storage space.... I really enjoyed my stay with Travelers House. Hosts are kind and provide quality breakfast and welcoming drinks. Even got a foot bath with beautiful flowers. The room is charming and one can hear great jazz or classical music during breakfast time. Like staying in a liitle museum with plants, collector stamps and book on Hygge.

ゲストハウス石垣 is situated in Ishigaki Island and features a shared lounge. Guests can make use of a garden. Rooms are fitted with a shared bathroom. Ishigaki Island is 1.2 km from the hostel. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped. There was lots of information available in the living room including ferry timetables and restaurant recommendations. The snorkel tour was outstanding. Our hosts were very knowledgeable.

We liked their location, staff members, and free breakfast. There are convenience store, supermarket, and restaurants near there. We took a walk along seashore. The view from the rooftop was great too. The room has mini kitchen, separated bathroom and shower area, washing machine and dryer.

Offering city views, Guesthome Machiya Koza is an accommodation set in Okinawa City, 8.2 km from Nakagusuku Castle and 8.7 km from Katsuren Castle. Phyllis, the owner/manager is extremely kind and generous with her time and knowledge. Wonderful service. Lovely and tidy place

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of garden, Guesthouse Koa is located in Miyako Island, 700 metres from Sunayama Beach. This 2-star guest house offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. This was a fantastic stay in a guesthouse, with very friendly hosts - especially Atsushi-san and Pao-san! It's very welcoming and well fitted out, with plenty of advice for what to do and where to go on the island. A bonus was freshly roasted coffee every morning by Atsushi-san. They have a lovely island dog, Iru-chan, who quickly made friends with us after some scratches, 10/10 good boy. We also went on the snorkelling tour of Yabiji, which was a great half day out with some fantastic pictures and all round fun.
