Awsome apartment with the most friendly staff we have ever met! the apartment was big and clean, very comfortable and big bathroom. It was in a great location to explore the area. we like that the coffee shop was really next to us, and we could enjoy fresh coffee and juice every morning 😊 There are no stairs outside and inside the apartment, so it was very accessible with big luggage. Definitely would like to come again!

14 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Guest House Hostel yukuru is a recently renovated property situated in Iiyama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Everything! The most loveliest hosts, felt really like spending the stay in their family. Since vegan dinner options were rare in Iiyama, the host lady prepared a vegan vegetable stew and tofu as a side dish just for me and we had dinner together at their family kitchen table. ♡ Though communicating in English was a bit difficult, the 3 of them made an immense effort to communicate with me via Google translate - loved and enjoyed learning more about Iiyama, their life and Japanese culture so much! Also, met their lovely daughter Natsumi again by accident in Nozawa at Haus St. Anton a few days later which was lovely! :) Thank you for everything!!!

The Guest House Manager was super welcoming, helpful and accommodating and went out of his way to make our stay an enjoyable one and picked us up and dropped us off at the Station as well as took us to an Shin Onsen and even to the Monkey Forrext as it was a quiet time for the Guest House. Although he does not speak English he made every effort to ensure that we understood his directions and understood what we said to him via Google Translate.

The most perfect four room hotel in a newly built beautiful Japanese home. The hosts are warm and welcoming. It’s like staying with a favourite friend or relative. It reminded me of staying with my grandmother when I was a little girl, they were so attentive and helpful. The rooms are warm and comfortable and impeccably clean. The breakfasts were the best food I had in Japan. Fresh local fruits and delicious home made soups. Off street parking and local bus and train transportation. Lots of helpful advice on attractions in and around the Nagano area and how to get there. (We loved the ‘snow monkeys’!) There are large grocery stores just around the corner and a lovely kitchen to use to prepare meals as well as local restaurants. Watch the kids walk and bike to school along the quiet street in front of the house and then catch an easy bus to Nagano Station to explore further afield.

The best place to stay if you travel the Japanese alpine. Clean and big room in beautiful house. The owners are very nice. Grate location with good view.
