The owners are lovely people who made us feel so welcome. The room was comfortable with a really good shower. It is in a really convenient location in Hase and is easily walkable to the beach and to local attractions. You also get amazing coffee. We would love to stay here again.

Situated 48 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Irori Guest House Tenmaku offers 1-star accommodation in Hakone and has a bar. Awesome place to stay at during your trip to Hakone! The Irori dinner (absolutely do book this!) was a fun experience and we enjoyed meeting other travellers. The staff were very helpful and accommodating during our stay. Our cozy little attic bedroom was clean and very comfy to sleep in despite the cold autumn weather <3 The shared facilities were clean and the common area nice and lively!

Nisan 2017'de açılan Field Hakone Resort, Hakone'de, Sengokuuannaishomae Otobüs Durağı'na 6 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde yer almaktadır. The staff are incredibly kind, polite and helpful. The simple room was clean and well equipped and beds were comfortable. We like to walk and found it close enough to the bus routes, restaurants and convenience stores. Hauling large luggage might be a bit difficult.

温泉街の入り口にあるゲストハウス SLOW HOUSE yugawara, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Yugawara, 22 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, 39 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, as well as 15 km from Hakone Checkpoint. I was stoked to check out the chill hot spring town of Yugawara in Japan. This spot really lets you soak in the Japanese vibe. It's tucked away from the main roads, so it's super peaceful. Within a five-minute walk, you can hit up a bunch of fancy hot springs. Perfect if you're into trying different baths. The room was hella clean. I heard Japanese summers have tons of bugs, but the place was so well-kept that it wasn't an issue at all. The kitchen area is like a hangout spot for guests, and it seems like folks from Japan, China, France, and other places were there. The price was the cheapest around, which is awesome for a backpacker like me. The manager, Yuma, was super cool. She's traveled a lot too, so she totally gets what travelers need. Oh, and the "Yudofu" that a Japanese guest made? I'd definitely want to have that again!

Situated in Yokosuka and with Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine reachable within 24 km, 酒と宿と不動産-yado- features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a restaurant. Great big room, clean, comfortable, warm in a Lovely old building. Friendly hosts, I booked last minute while cycling around Tokyo bay and was greeted with a smile, a great recommendation for somewhere to eat late at night and they allowed me to store my bicycle inside overnight. I would definitely say again if I am back in Yokosuka anytime.

Overall speaking our stay was fantastic. We read the comments before we booked and expected a good stay. We know the transport is a concern but we drive, so it isn’t an issue. (See below for more about parking) Yet, it is still out of our expectations. We enjoyed so much in the quiet and harmony environment! We spent 4 days 3 nights here. We appreciate the services, food and environment. Places are clean, neat and tidy. The host Rin-san is very detailed and helpful. Its location is a distance from the town; so it is quiet. Originally we planned for long days in nearby towns and tourist locations, and thought that it is just a place for bath and sleep. We didn’t book for additional meals (only booked a dinner on the first night because we would arrive late). Later on we changed our mind and booked the breakfast for day 3 and 4 so that we can enjoyed and relaxed more. Both the dinner and 2x breakfast were wonderful: good variety, delicious, well garnished, and good price! Next to it is a large park. On day 3 we shortened our day tour and went back early. We jogged for an hour and then bought some beer and light meal as our day-3-dinner. The sunset was wonderful. We just sat outdoor, had some snack and chat. An hour easily passed. There were a few email interactions before we checked in. Rin-san explained everything we need and reserved a parking space for us. He replied our questions promptly and arranged everything as requested. We had no difficulty locating the House except that we didn’t expect the condition of the small road towards the House was so poor. In fact Rin-san had explained to us in the email. The road was under construction. We then moved our car to the House another parking space on day 2 morning. It’s just 2 minutes walk and is next to the park we mentioned above. Rin-san drove us there. The arrangement was great. I can’t probably write everything here.
