Charming hotel in an unbeatable location, an absulute gem, very cosy and beautifully renovated respecting the original bones of the house - it is one of the oldest in town and very interesting historically. I felt right at home there and Steinunn is a very friendly host, loved chatting to her and the rest of the staff at breakfast, which was btw excellent and way beyond my expectations too. I will definitely be back on my next stay :)

Super friendly owner. She was very helpful. The location is great - could not be closer to the city centre. Area is nice and we felt safe. Room is nice and bed comfortable. Shared kitchen and bathroom were both very clean and well equipped.

Eric the Red is a perfectly located Guest House in Reykjavik just 60m/200ft from Hallgrímskirkja Church which is the biggest church and single most central point in Reykjavik, we are in short walking... It was a pleasurable stay at Eric the Red Guesthouse. Extremely convenient location, right beside the Reykjavik Church. Very nice host make you feel like at home. Also loved the breakfast!
