Boasting a balcony with garden views, a garden and a shared lounge, Thangkop House can be found in Leh, close to Soma Gompa and 4.4 km from Shanti Stupa. We had an amazing stay at Thangkop House. We were warmly greeted by Dolma who is a wonderful host. She made us feel right at home and made sure we adjusted to the altitude. We loved Thangkop so much that we spent a few nights initially but then came back multiple times between trips to other places. The rooms are lovely and sunny. We had yummy breakfasts with homemade local bread. Wang (Dolmas son) helped us organise a scooter trip arranging for the bike to be dropped to the house for a very reasonable price and also helped us organise a trip to the Sham Valley Trek. I couldn’t recommend highly enough and if you are visiting Leh you should stay here :)

The stay was just wonderful. Perfect for our first few days acclimating to the altitude. The staff and owner were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. The property is just beautiful and pleasant to relax around. Location is close to the market. Overall it was an amazing stay and highly recommended for your time in Leh. Lardak Guest House has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Leh, less than 1 km from Shanti Stupa. Very cozy place and super helpfull staff, in a perfect location, close to the center but in a quiet street. Everything was new and perfectly clean, great views from the room. The owner, Toni, was working for many years as trekking guide and tour leader so he has a lot of good recomendations for trekkings or monasteries sightseeing. It was a wonderfull stay!!
