Travellers should also note that the apartment itself is up two and a half floors (47 steps) with no lift, which was no problem for me, but it may not be suitable for people who have problems with stairs. My host, Yoav, took my bags up at the beginning of my stay and down again at the end. He and his family did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible during what we all know is a difficult time in Israel. It’s amazing how quiet and peaceful the apartment is given its proximity to Rothschild (a stone’s throw). Groceries, cafes, restaurants all nearby. Walkable to Neve Tzedek, Nahalat Binyamin, Beach, Carmel market. (And for you Americans out there… I’ve never had such amazing hot water pressure anywhere in Israel ;)).
