You can rent a motorcycle from the Homestay. The host was also helped us with getting a shared car to Labuan Bajo as the Gunung Mas was fully booked. He drove us himself to the place to get a shared taxi and communicated with the locals for us 10/10. Also if you are there in the weekend, they also organise a family dinner for all the guests to join. It was really nice.

Blue Parrot ligger 5 minuters promenad från hamnen i Labuan Bajo. Du kan resa till den vackra ön Komodo på 20 minuter med motorbåt från hamnen. The view from the common area here was AMAZING. We decided to watch the sunset and it was beautiful. Booked the garden room and it was good for the night as we were heading off on a sailing trip the next day. Super large bed, and standard toilet/shower, aircon was a lifesaver as the heat here is intense. Breakfast was simple but filling , and the staff were lovely. Suni who manages the day to day was also very friendly and hospitable. He gave recommendations on what to do around Labuan Bajo for the day, and also allowed us to hangout at the Blue Parrot for a few hours, in-between us returning from the sailing trip, and our flight!

Gorgeous, brand new individual bungalows overlooking a small garden and rice paddy, and walking distance from everything in Riung, including the harbour and Pato restaurant which also comes highly recommended. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming, chatting to us about the local area and even arranging for us to be able to watch the England football final at 3am! I cannot imagine there is anywhere better to stay in Riung - it exceeded all our expectations.

Hars garden’s is a jewel in the middle of Sumba. from the perfect hospitality Har gave us along our stay, to the location and view itself up to the cozy sweet little cabins and villas. we were at cloud 9. need less to say the food was really good, the rental bikes were in great condition and Sumba is a magical place. we will definitely come back in a few years.
