(try and use gojek or grab for safety when in batam, unfortunately there aren't any in the ferry terminal to the south east of batam) there are some nice warungs and coffee shops nearby, in an interesting part of town with colonial architecture. quite convenient for airport and very convenient for the international ferry terminal.
