Due to challenging traffic, we arrived 5 hours late, but at 2.30 am the host was still waiting for us. She showed us to our nice and clear room and the next morning served us a great English breakfast. The house and room were clean, breakfast was excellent, and host extremely hospitable. When we had a small problem with dinner, she helped us to get some nice food as well.

Peaceful. Quiet. Lovely countryside and sea view. Honestly could not fault a single thing. If you are going to the area - this place is a must....

We like quaint hotels and such and this was right up our alley. Lyndon was wonderful and put a personal touch to morning breakfast with lots of conversation. The bed was super comfortable, there was a large TV in the room and we had a private bath. There was no curfew so we could stay out late. We were also welcome to use the kitchen as needed. Parking in front was not allowed but there was plenty available behind the building.

Great location to explore Barry Island. Lovely coastal walks and friendly area. Private secure parking important for us and it is a decent sized parking space unlike some places we have stayed! Cold Knapp Lakeside Gardens well worth a visit. Can recommend John's Cafe on Friars Rd. Also The Docktown Grill on Broad St and The Ship (Hungry Horse) though these two eateries are a 20-30 minute walk away.
Great location in the High Street. The room in the old building was comfortable and quiet.
Close to rail station to access Cardiff City Centre Quiet location The staff at reception, bar and restaurant where we had breakfast were all very good. The breakfast was enjoyable and good value even if room was basic at the price which may or may not be related to the Springsteen concert in town. Bar was reasonably priced too We enjoyed the hot bath we were able to take.
The bed was clean and fresh, the room, tidy and the bathroom clean. the staff were friendly and sociable and assisted me with an iron and board on request. The bar area was friendly although not cheap, however if someone wanted a quiet drink on their own or with a partner, they could have enjoyed that.

It was in a great location, it had everything and more of what we could possibly need. Great views, great hosts and a great property.
Cheap and cheerful. Very basic as you would expect at this price point but perfectly ok for an overnight before/after a flight. Excellent breakfast for 7.95.
Great location, pet friendly and quiet. Room clean, nicely decorated, warm and comfy bed. Continental breakfast was rather nice. Quaint bar area and friendly staff.
