Warmly welcomed on arrival the owner’s daughter, as Amanda was away at the time dealing with a family matter. Upon Amanda returning, was again warmly welcomed and, on this occasion, advised of all of the facilities and services available. A guest lounge, which also contained a great deal of information regarding attractions in the local area, was also made available to us. The room was of a reasonable size, and being a corner room, afforded windows and semi-rural views on two sides. The bedroom contained one large bed, another single bed, a small sofa, bedside cabinets and table for the complimentary tea/coffee. Also tastefully decorated. Ensuite was also of a reasonable size, containing a good shower and shelving space for personal toiletries. A complimentary continental and/or hot breakfast was also provided, ensuring a very satisfactory start to the day. Its location necessitates a short drive to the nearby city centre where there are plenty of options for dining (and shopping). Despite having been advised that the free Wi-fi may at times be a little erratic, no difficulties were encountered during our stay.

Where do I start! I was taking my girlfriend here for a night at the weekend, and I haven’t done anything like this before, so I exchanged quiet a few messages with the owner, she helped me extremely 😀 when we arrived we where met with the lovely and very kind hostess Catherine, whom with just a few messages back and forth, I felt like I already knew her, so with her warm welcome and a lovely chat she showed us around, everything about her and her guest house and location is all first class. It didn’t take to long for my girlfriend to realise what I meant when I said it feels like I knew her, as she said the same as me in just 15 minutes 😀 room was brilliant food was brilliant service was brilliant, everything was brilliant. We met the famous dog Joe whom is the most lovely and friendly dog yo will ever meet, also a couple of full of life pigs roaming around, everything was exceptional. I can not recommend this place any more highly, if you are looking a day or twos ‘total peace’ then look no further, u have all you need here, with neighbouring towns for food and drinks etc. Get booking folks u will not be disappointed 😀😍

Tento 4hvězdičkový penzion se nachází jen 5 km od historického ostrovního města Enniskillen a 300 metrů od 15 rybářských mol. Naprosto úžasní majitelé, perfektní servis a skvělá domluva. Ve všem nám vyšli vstříc a velmi dobře poradili, pokud jsme něco nevěděli. Snídaně byly bohaté, chutné a je skvělé, že si můžete domluvit čas snídaně. Lokalita je úžasně klidná, naprostý klid na spánek a relaxaci.

Even though our stay here was brief for 1 night.. we we're so glad we booked here.. we had a lovely warm welcome from the host and also a warm welcome in the cabin with a lit stove and scones waiting for us.. it was like a home from home... The message and the gesture left for us when we were leaving was a lovely touch.. would definitely stay here again..

It had absolutely everything we needed: - Room was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable, and the rainfall shower was just what we needed after a long day. Our sleep was perfect as there was such a peace about the location, and we woke up feeling refreshed - Location was excellent. Close enough to the many different attractions that Enniskillen and the surrounding villages have (stairway to heaven walk, marble arch caves, and Florence court to name a few), but also remote enough where you could escape the hustle and bustle - The breakfast that Jacquelin made was amazing. The food all freshly prepared, and for the walk that we had planned in the morning, plenty of it to prepare us for our hike. Amazing! - Jacquelin and John were so so kind. They were such genuine people, and my wife Leigh and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at their B&B. The details like having a lovely piece of cake on arrival, fresh / home made Wheaton by John himself for breakfast etc, all were what made this stay truly exceptional for us. Would highly recommend, and would love to go back one day soon!

They were welcoming and hospitable. The room was clean and cosy and had all the facilities we needed. The property was close to town and it was easy to get around. We had a great experience and would stay at Portora House again.
