Friendly staff, clean rooms and charming decor. the breakfast was fantastic.

Chestnuts House has a wonderful location from which to enjoy the historic city of Bath. The house is situated off the main roads and next to Henrietta Park, but it is just a short, level stroll from the city centre, with its many attractions, restaurants and excellent shopping centre. The breakfast offer a lot of alternatives, and the disposition of Toni for mix and change the meal was great.

Overlooking the historic centre of Bath, Grays Boutique is a family-run bed and breakfast set in a welcoming Victorian villa with a garden. Only a 10-minute walk from Bath Train Station, it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. Most luxurious B&B we’ve ever stayed in!! Our room was spotless, bed extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. Walk in shower was huge! Breakfast was first class with many options, including Eggs Benedict! It was delicious!! Eliza and the staff were very attentive and efficient!! We loved our stay there.

What a view over the rooftops of Georgian terraces! I looked out one morning as a hot air balloon glided by. Comfy bed and chair. Really beautiful and spacious bathroom. I stayed for 10 nights during the Jane Austen Festival. The B&B is very close to the Assembly Rooms and handy to many events. I met another lady at an event who was also staying at Hill House, which made it more fun. The hosts, Alex and Tina, could not have been more helpful. One of the staff even assisted me to lace up my Regency costume for an event. Tina's breakfasts were the best ever. (Far better than a famous London railway hotel I subsequently visited.)A work of art, really. I thought, at first, that the location on the hill might have been a challenge, but I ended up enjoying the walk and got really fit. There are buses that stop close by, but I tended to walk everywhere. As a solo traveller this trip, and just into my 60s, this felt like the perfect home away from home with a wonderful Regency feel to enhance my Jane Austen Festival experience. Thanks Alex and Tina!

The food served at the pub was delicious, and the menu was amply diverse. The coffee brewed in a French press each morning was always perfect, and complimented my choice of breakfast. The garden in the rear sitting area was beautiful, vibrant, well laid out, and nicely maintained, and the property is steeped in family history. In short, I am looking forward to my next stay there.
