Set in Riobamba, within 50 km of Chimborazo Volcano, Villa Bonita Hostel is an accommodation offering quiet street views. What a wonderful hostel! Staff is incredible. They really care and are full of advice about the region and what to do. The beds are the most comfy I had in a long time, and breakfast was good. It's close to the center and has a good kitchen and hang out area. Everything was just great.

With mountain views, Hostal el Vaquero is set in Chugchilán and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and children's playground. Location (far from the main road and really next to the trek path), the room was comfy, dinner and breakfast nice, the Turkish baths and the sauna are good for the muscles after the hike, the owners are adorable.

Hostal Taita Cristobal is a recently renovated guest house in Isinliví, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Liked everything! Amazing value for money :) lovely large room with a view, the hosts, the food…large communal area with a fire and even more views.

Casa del Montañero, a property with a garden, is set in Machachi, 39 km from Sucre Theatre, 40 km from Colonial Art Museum, as well as 40 km from El Ejido Park. Everything was perfect! I had a great stay here. The bed was super comfortable, big rooms, nice breakfast. The owners were super friendly, took me to a shop and dropped me off at a meeting point where I got picked up. Highly recommend! Hope to come back one day:) Muchas gracias por todo!

Located 1.5 km from El Ejido Park, 1 km from Sucre Theatre and 1.5 km from Bolivar Theatre, Hostal La Chorrera features accommodation situated in Quito. Exceptional value, a very kind host, and a great breakfast. The old building is charming and while it wasn’t all that social the travellers I met here were very interesting. Anita speaks good English and can help you plan trips around the city. There are good restaurants close by.
