Situated 2.6 km from Playa Los Fuertes, 400 metres from President Gabriel González Videla Regional History Museum and 300 metres from Gabriela Mistral Building, Victor-alojamientos features... Victor is a very kind and helpful man. If I asked him anything, he responded quickly. I felt very safe there and at home. Everything is exceptionally clean and well cared for. Victor and his family live on the premises and there is a main door/gate to access the apartments/rooms. It is also very quite. The TV has many, many stations in English (and I suspect other languages besides Spanish) which was surprising and enjoyable. The in room refrigerator was useful. The large dispenser of bottled water was very helpful for refilling my water bottles. I also boiled water in the kitchen and bought it to my room in a thermos for tea. The bed was very comfortable with good cotton sheets and lots of blankets. There is also a heater and fans available if needed.

Situated in Vicuña in the Coquimbo Region region, Casa Ollagua has a garden. This guest house features free private parking and a shared kitchen. I have stayed in over 68 countries, and this place was the best I have ever stayed in. Gloria and Rafael's attention was incredible. They are very kind, always willing to help. The place is magical, with spectacular views of the vineyards. Also at night you see the space lucidly, as I had never seen it before. The room was comfortable, clean and modern, as was the bathroom. Also the breakfast prepared by Gloria was delicious. If I come back to the area, I will definitely stay at Casa Ollagua!

Featuring a patio with garden views, a garden and barbecue facilities, La Sombra del Viento can be found in La Serena, close to Justice Court and Cathedral and 400 metres from Plaza de Armas. Everything was really nice: the cute garden, the very well maintained property, the big and comfortable room and the excellent home-made breakfast!

Located in Vicuña, Hostal El Colibri offers accommodation with free WiFi in all common areas. This property features a terrace with garden views. Very welcoming staff/host and grounds are very relaxing and comfortable. Short walk to the center of town. They gave some excellent recommendations on what to see and do locally. Would stay again if I return to Vicuña.

Located in Pisco Elqui, Elquihostel offers a terrace. This guest house features a garden and free private parking. The entire place was very clean and looked like new. The dorm room for 6 was lovely and had good storage lockers. The outdoor kitchen was beautiful and decently equipped and I enjoyed using the pool in the afternoons when the sun was over it. I was only guest there at the time so had the entire place to myself and it was beautiful. Eggs, bread and juice in the fridge was a really nice touch too! Pisco Elqui is a small place so location wise it was good as everything is within walking distance including the bus stop.

Set in Vicuña, Cabañas Rusticas Olimpus del Elqui offers accommodation with a patio. This property offers access to table tennis, darts and free private parking.

Featuring a garden and views of inner courtyard, El jardin is a recently renovated guest house located in La Serena, 2.5 km from El Faro Beach. This is a wonderful place, beautiful gardens where you can eat, relax or star gaze. Sandra and staff are so friendly. I wish I could have stayed longer.
