Katiusca is truly the most sweet, kind, generous, warm, and welcoming host. She literally welcomed us with open arms and was so kind to us from the very first message when we had booked our stay months prior. We feel like we made a new friend! She went out of her way to explain and answer our questions regarding restaurant reservations and activities in the area. She verified times for us for the little train that goes around Bellinzona, which is an adorable little train ride and she gave us tips about the local markets and was so attentive to our every need. She offered us lovely goods from the bakery for breakfast and the vanilla croissant was so delicious and the bread she provided every day for us was some of the best bread we've ever had! And the view from our "Blue Balance" room was absolutely stunning! It had a floor to ceiling window with a gorgeous balcony and we could see the mountains and the town and the castles and there aren't enough woods in the world to say how fabulous the view was and we were able to see from the comfort of our room fireworks on New Year's Eve. The view from the shared kitchen was lovely and we were able to heat some basic things on the stove. There was no microwave but it wasn't necessary for us. She is such a lovely person and gave extra pillows in the room at our request because we were recovering from an injury. She gave us beautiful gifts when we left and offered us fantastic Prosecco when we arrived. All in all it was an extraordinary exceptional stay and we highly recommend it. She is a truly kind warm and welcoming person.

Grotto del Pan Perdü, a property with a bar, is situated in Carona, 10 km from Exhibition Center Lugano, 12 km from Swiss Miniatur, as well as 23 km from Mendrisio Station. Very nice Grotto, with freshly renovated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Before arriving we were informed about the possibilities for breakfast and restaurants. At our arrival, there was some minor technical issue with the heating and we were given immediately another room.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Villa by @ Home Hotel Locarno is a guest house situated in a historic building in Locarno, 1.2 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. A dream villa! I just stayed overnight in the deluxe suite for 3 people in this wonderful villa. The directions received on the day of arrival were very clear. Even a video on how to open the safebox and then the doors left no doubt. I could recognize the building right away. It is an impeccably renovated and upscale privat villa from the last century. High ceilings and blackout curtains. The suite with a huge terrace with beautiful views made us feel we were in an exclusive place. The sofa bed for the third person was comfortable and large even if I wouldn't consider it suitable for 2 adults. Too bad we only stayed one night. We will gladly keep the address for a future stay. We found the price fair and was over 300 francs. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because we left early but there would be that option as well

Set in Tegna, 5.8 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, B&B ALLA PIAZZETTA DI TEGNA offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. The hotel is located in a small village on a place in a nostalgic building. There is a nice courtyard and the hotel has also a resuarant, where the breakfast is served. The 3- or 4-bed room consisted of 2 separate rooms, divided through curtains. The first room was bigger than the second and we had a private bathroom, which was outside of the sleeping rooms, due to the architecture of the building. The personnel was very friendly and welcoming. We loved the rich breakfast. There is a parking lot for guests (which is a little bit hidden, when you arrive from the street). This place is good for a rip with a car, visitng that region and the Maggia valley.

Located within 1 km of Piazza Grande Locarno and 5.9 km of Golfclub Patriziale Ascona, Stalder Meat & Bed provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Muralto. This was a very nice place to stay - comfortable bed, lovely breakfast & perfectly situated near the town, lake & train station. The hosts could not have been more helpful too.

Boasting a shared lounge and views of mountain, Bed and Breakfast Chiarina is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Mendrisio, 12 km from Mendrisio Station. It was a amazing place, the view the quiet the host was just perfect for what we had in mind. The drive up was breathtaking and if I had known I would have stayed longer. I thought the idea of no TV would bother me but no just having the peace and quiet was enough! Breakfast was great loved the local cheese and she had a great selection of breads ,jams etc.

Located in Purasca, 13 km from Lugano Station, Romantico Palazzo dei Ulivi provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. The host was very welcoming and just very happy to see you like you’re their child, Breakfast was AMAZING ! Lots of fruits and vegetables and verity of tea and coffee options. The garden was has breath taken view. I wish i could stay more , neighborhood was very cosy, great experience 100% recommended.
