20 km from Australia Zoo, "On Burgum Pond" Cottages is a recently renovated property set in Maleny and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The location and setting of the Kookuburra Cottage was superb as we overlooked the pond and could watch all the birds - amazing view. Nice and handy to Maleny which was worth a visit in itself. Our hosts supplied us with a marvellous hamper which basically fed us for the two days we were there. The cottage was very spacious and well appointed. We literally wanted for nothing. Our accommodation far exceeded our expectation.

We booked it on the same day and for only one night as we were driving through and wished we could have stayed longer. You just feel home as soon as you walk in. There were different variety of toast divided in zip lock bag, and thoughtfully refrigerated due to the hot and humid weather. Granola, milk, soda, water etc. There was cutlery, snacks, mugs, bowls provided in the room as well! Really thoughtful and amazing.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast located in Apple Tree Creek, Montrose features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. We loved everything, from Andy’s kind and warm welcome, the delicious cake waiting for us upon arrival, the great and plentiful breakfast, feeding the wallabies and kangaroos, spotting the shy possums and birds, the spotlessly clean room, to the peace and quiet of the location.

I loved the quality of the furniture and the fittings throughout the cottage. There was nothing compromised on quality. The bed was so comfortable! And the food left for us was amazing. We will definitely be back.
