Barbara, the host, was amazing and super helpful with all of our requests. She suggested all the places we should go to. We liked St. Gilgen because it's a small town where you can relax near the lake and hike around the mountains in the summer. The rooms were well taken care of, ample and worked pretty great for us.

Pension Schlömmer is located 4 km from Sankt Gilgen and has a private beach access to Lake Wolfgang, just 200 metres from the house. It offers for guests a balcony in every room. Just 150 metres from Lake Wolfgang, Gästehaus Kloibergütl offers a private beach with deckchairs, free bicycle hire, and free WiFi in the entire property. Spotlessly clean, good facilities and very authentic. Sound of cows :-) Apartment was great for 3 adult colleagues. Staff spoke German and English fluently and were kind to accommodate an accidental late check in. Ferry (5min away) takes passengers and bikes across the lake.

This is a 10/10 place if you want a nice, well-located place to sleep in Strobl!

The apartment we have rented is a whole flore of a chalet, with private backyard and access to alpine hill slope. The apartment was very spacious and spotless clean. Kitchen is well equipped. View is simply breathtaking. Nice lakeshore village with lovely public beach, number of restaurants, bars and stores is in about kilometer or so. The host is very helpful, but not intrusive.
